Must-See Places in Las Vegas, NV

by - 2/25/2024

With Spring Break coming up, you may be considering Las Vegas, Nevada as one of your destinations. Here is the Creative Mouse's guide to all the must-sees in Vegas!

There are plenty of ways to get around, including services such as Uber, trams, and the monorail. The best option is probably a combination of everything!

Let's start off with the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. It is located in 5200 Las Vegas Blvd, at the start of the Strip. Try visiting early in the day, as it gets crowded and a line forms to take take pictures in front of it. Then, as you work your way up and down the Strip, there will be a lot of walking involved, so it is wise to see one side of the Strip first and then the opposite side while taking advantage of the trams in between some hotels and even the monorail.

In order to see all the hotels, start off at the Mandalay Bay where you can watch the Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil show. Next, take the tram to the Luxor pyramid and sphinx and then take the tram to Excalibur.

Walk towards New York New York and enjoy the replica of the Statue of Liberty and the Hershey’s Chocolate World shop, where you will see a Statue of Liberty made entirely of chocolate. Inside of the hotel there are New York-style buildings and the sewers on the streets blow steam, just like the real-life ones!

Next up is Park MGM, where you can visit the Haus of Gaga Las Vegas exhibition and see some iconic dresses and items she has previously worn during events or performances. After, take the tram towards the Aria and then take the same tram towards the Bellagio, where you can enjoy their beautiful garden and the Bellagio Patisserie Chocolate Fountain, as well as its spectacular fountain show.

The Caesar’s Palace is up next and it is huge! After, head to the Forum Shops and see a replica of the Trevi Fountain. Next is the Mirage and Treasure Island where you can usually catch an exhibition, depending on the time of year you visit. And finally is the Fashion Show Mall.

When you are ready to tackle the opposite side of the Strip, take advantage of the Monorail. Start off at the MGM Grand where you can visit the The Hunger Games: The Exhibition, which includes sets and screen-used costumes. There is also an interactive element at the end which is pretty fun.

Afterwards, enjoy the Paris hotel along with the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe replicas. Close to that you will see Ballys, Flamingo, The Linq, and The Venetian where you can ride indoor or outdoor gondolas. The Palazzo is connected to the Venetian so it is just a short indoor walk to get here.

Once at the Wynn, visit their gardens as well. And finally you will have reached the Encore. Slightly further is the Sahara where you can catch a showing of Magic Mike Live, or head to The Strat if you are the thriller-seeking type, so you can rappel down the building or ride the roller coaster at the top. On the other hand, if you'd rather watch others do so, that is also an option. The highest level of the Strat also has a restaurant, Top of the World, with amazing views.

Other areas you might enjoy outside the Strip are:

Fremont: Where the first casinos of Vegas are. You can zipline through it or enjoy the artists and street performers.

Neon Museum: Where you can walk around, take pictures, and read some of the signs to learn a little about the pieces and how they impacted history.

Premium Outlets: For the shopaholics!

Seven Magic Mountains: Public artwork by the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone’s and it is a colorful large-scale exhibition located in the desert outside of Las Vegas that features, you guess it, seven 30 to 35-feet high dayglow totems comprised of painted, locally-sourced boulders. Follow these directions in order to get there: Follow I-15 S to Sloan Rd (exit 25). Turn left (east) to Las Vegas Boulevard. Drive approximately 7 miles south on Las Vegas Blvd. and the artwork will appear on your left (east). We rode an Uber and they waited for us in order to get us back because reception is not the best and it is hard to get a ride back.

Las Vegas is the entertainment capital. I highly recommend any concert going on at the moment.

Here you will find a list of all the concerts going on during 2024 in Las Vegas organized by date.

There is so much to do, so remember to always take breaks and just enjoy the atmosphere! I hope this guide helps you have a great Spring Break in Vegas.
